In this tutorial you"ll learn how to make a cool 3D looking orb for your Icons or buttons or whatever your creative mind finds a use for using Photoshop's blending options.
Final product should lool like this:
Step 1.
Open Photoshop and create a new document 128 x 128 px
Step 2.
Use the Ellipse tool ( u ) while holding down shift (pc) to create a perfectly round new shape.
Use the rulers set to 50 percent vertically and horizontally to center your cool new circle.
Step 3.
Open the blending options screen for the layer that you have just created and make sure that your options look like the ones below.
